It doesn't have to be a printed text. You may use an audio recording, a video clip (like the andy rooney piece) or a political ad.

I'd like you to submit a topic proposal on Mon. This, again, will involve two parts: 1. a copy of the text (if possible) and/or a link that will allow me to take a look at it. 2. A one paragraph explanation of how and why you chose this text. I'd specifically like to know what interest you have in your chosen text. Is it the topic that attracted you? The author's rhetoric?
