Paper #2 Resource: The Living Room Candidate-Presidential Campaign Commercials, 1952-2004
The Livingroom Candidate, an online exhibit of the Museum of the Moving Image, is a great source for finding a political ad for this assignment, especially if you're interested in presidential politics. In fact, they've archived on site every single television ad put out there by a major presidential candidate since Ike (with a few by Ross Perot thrown in for good measure). They even have most if not all of the internet ads produced for the 2004 election and an impressive colleciton of ads from the "shadow campaign" (think: Swift Boat Vets for Truth).

Note: I've been unable to view the ads posted at the Living Room Candidate using the Firefox browser. It appears to work with IE. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Another set of political ads that you might have a look at can be found on the webiste of documentary filmmaker Errol Morris (Fog of War, The Thin Blue Line).

(By the way, if you haven't seen Fog of War, you should)
